Job Description

Bank of America's Asset Services Division is looking for an experienced Corporate Actions/Asset Servicing Manager to lead our NYC based Operations teams.

Come join the exciting world of Corporate Actions where you will play an integral role in the most dynamic part of the Global Markets lifecycle. As a senior manager, the expectation is that the candidate would be a self-starter who can provide guidance to junior associates while also driving the daily work prioritization and be a champion for the strategic vision of the organization. Must have established critical thinking skills and the ability to manage messaging with situational awareness.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in the financial services industry

• 10+ years core Corporate Action (Asset Servicing) processing with a top tier Bank

• 5+ years management experience-

• Established critical thinking skills and the ability to manage messaging with situational awareness

• Direct voluntary and mandatory corporate actions experience supporting International Prime Brokerage and Global Custody Businesses

• Thorough understanding of the corporate action life cycle including voluntary, mandatory corporate actions, dividends and coupons.

• Full understanding of reconciliation/breaks and the key controls in a production environment

• Prior leadership and people management responsibilities over operations team and their day to day execution ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Skilled at managing timely responses to internal and external stakeholder inquires providing excellent client service

• Full understanding of upstream and downstream touch points of Asset Services in a Global Markets environment

• Well versed in establishing controls and escalations in all end to end processes

• Ability to translate operational process steps into well written and cohesive documented procedures and process flows

• Risk and control mindset and ability to escalate timely to senior management

• Ability to effectively manage relationships with trading, business and internal & external technology providers

• Ability to manage to market sensitive processing timelines

• Data driven decision making

• Continuous improvement mindset

• Understanding of the components of a high performance organization

• Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes.

• Strong Analytical skills – to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile variances and present complex data in a coherent manner

• Strong relationship management and ability to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus and resolving conflicts.

• Team player with the ability to take the initiative and ownership of tasks and operate across different functional silos
