Title: Clinical Research Operations Manager

Weekly Hours: 35.00

Exemption Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $107,600.00 - $122,100.00

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices

Position Summary

This is a public-facing role to the clinical research community through a customer-focused lens. The overarching goal is to serve as the liaison between the clinical research community and all facets of clinical research. The role will support investigators and study teams by troubleshooting, building, negotiating and reconciling clinical trail budgets, improving communication with central clinical research teams and ancillary departments; streamlining processes realted to study activation and conduct; and providing education and training in these areas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides direction, strong leadership, and oversight to assigned departments.

  • Partners with leadership and assigned departments to strategically forecast operational needs and helps establish the long-term direction of the departments clinical research portfolio within the department.

  • Builds relationships with investigators and study teams as a trusted advisor.

  • Supervises the training/development and performance of assigned departmental study staff.

  • Ensures that all investigators and study teams are trained on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and institutional processes.

  • Provides leadership, organization, and creative support to both established and new clinical research initiatives.

  • Identifies investigators and study team challenges with the study activation process, including the IRB, PRMC and other approval committees, and liaises to improve processes.

  • Extracts, compiles, and analyzes data to generate reports for clinical research leadership.

  • Works with senior leadership to develop templates and educational activities for the clinical research community.

  • Works with investigators on a one-on-one basis to provide education and training to facilitate planned research.

  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Approximately 4 years of expereince working in a clinical research environment.

Progressive clinical research expereicne.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Comfortable with public speaking and engaging community members.

  • Ability to establish collaborative working relationships and in managing multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

Position may require ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends when requested for special projects.
