Job Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator will collaborate closely with Dr. Bansal (PI) and a multidisciplinary research team, to plan, track and achieve operational study goals including patient recruitment, data management, achieving target accrual, and producing scholarly output.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred or a combination of relevant research experience and education.
0-2 years of research/human subjects experience; One or more years of experience in research in a hospital and/or academic environment is preferred.
Training in health-related scientific discipline ideally with background in epidemiology, biostatistics, and/or public health as well as knowledge of data management.
Outstanding professionalism and excellent ability to communicate with varying levels of leadership and diverse team of practitioners is required.
Bilingual Spanish Speaking is preferred
Responsibilities
Screen and enroll study candidates.
Independently obtains informed consent in-person or at a distance (remotely) for study subjects.
Meet with participants after the consent process to review study requirements, and answer additional questions.
Collect and record study data into relevant Database (RedCap, Labvantage, etc).
Evaluate liver health utilizing technology including transient elastography
Assist in the activities related to clinical research studies including, but not limited to, completing visit checklists and answering protocol-clarifying questions
Assist in preparing new and continuing review submissions as well as progress reports to sponsors and institutional regulatory bodies such as the IRB and Grants and Contracts Office
Prepare abstracts and presentations for regional/national/international meetings
Develops and presents basic reports for investigators on a regular basis.
Ensure accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews
Complete chart reviews to document clinical specified endpoints or criteria
Ensure study database remains up to date and cleaned of any errors/inaccuracies
Process and oversee delivery of specimens to appropriate laboratory
Secure, deliver and ship clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
Perform other related duties as required
Projects may extend to those that involving wet-bench assays in the future
Support the overall goals of the NASH Center of Excellence

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16 - $39.4984 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
