Dow Jones Business Operations Associate, WSJ Magazine in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with our global sales team across 9x issues on advertising rates & positioning terms.

  • Hold a deep knowledge of the sector & advertisers, rate thresholds, competitive separation requirements, & historical context.

  • Partner with the Print Operations & Editorial teams: review appropriate paper quantities/forecasts, laying out final issues, facilitate necessary approvals, and ensure layout cooperates with Editorial expectations.

  • Maintain a regular & accurate magazine global forecast across Print, Digital, and Events; keep track of moving pieces as deals regularly shift across issues/months and the effect that has on the positions/overall forecast.

  • Secure signed Insertion Orders

  • Upkeep of each individual sales team's magazine business and their pipelines for the year and prior year by issue.

  • Coordinate editorial/print calendars, and any other top-level needs related to the magazine daily operations.

  • Maintain an updated SOM folder with monthly ad reports from Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Vanity Fair and T. Aggregating reports as well into summary documents laying out full year SOM, endemic advertisers vs non-endemic

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferred

  • Excellent organizational and detail oriented skills are required.

  • Experience within fast paced work environments and ability to multi-task, including working effectively, remaining calm under pressure and delivering on deadline.

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem solving skills

  • Fashion and Luxury Industry sector understanding and/or interest is required.

  • Knowledge of luxury advertisers' positions' requests and nuances ideal

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
