The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

How you will create an impact

The Branch Network Solutions Architect will be responsible for architecture and design within the global landscape of 300+ locations, remote workers and wide area network. This will include architecture / design, implementing and maintaining a large and complex global environment.

  • Design and architecture of a large and complex global branch network infrastructure.

  • Lead architect responsible for designing and developing scalable and highly available global network architectures to meet the organizations business needs.

  • Development of service and technology standards across the network footprint

  • Develop scripts and processes to test, deploy and validate changes across all network infrastructure as code, leveraging Ansible and other approved corporate automation and orchestration platforms.

  • Partner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.

  • Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget.

  • Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation.

  • Develop and maintain standards and designs for Branch infrastructure.

  • Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required.

  • Work closely with senior management, and network engineering and operations teams.

  • Enhances efficiency via automation when and wherever possible.

  • Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale multi-vendor enterprise networks, project delivery with focus on performance optimization and scalability.

  • Deep understanding and experience of network architecture designs with SDN, SD-WAN, Wireless and network segmentation.

  • Deep knowledge on network management and monitoring platforms

  • CCIE or CCNP Routing and Switching certifications or equivalent are required.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git)

  • Network Automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.

  • Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.

  • Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.

  • Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.

  • Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency.

For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $105,000-$148,000. For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $99,000-$143,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
