Your impact:

Oprah Daily the multiplatform lifestyle brand from Oprah Winfrey and Hearst Magazines that is making it a daily practice to live your best life seeks an Associate Producer to help with its video operation. This Associate Producer will be responsible for creating content to support original videos. The role will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, assist with research, casting/booking efforts, element pulling and working closely with video editors, producers, talent and outside vendors. The Associate Producer must have a thorough communication style, be nimble and have the ability to assist in the effort to produce video at scale and on short notice, and have a passion for the digital video landscape. Familiarity with and a passion for the Oprah brand is a must.

What you'll do:

  • Assist the Senior Producer in producing videos that feature both staff talent and outside talent
  • Identify and pitch new video talent who have expertise in wellness, health and self-care
  • Contribute to ideation and development efforts for existing and new franchises
  • Work with the video team to build a library of original video content
  • Write scripts for various video franchises and do cut downs on post production scripts
  • Assist with live productions
  • Manage the production calendar for the video team
  • Coordinate guest bookings in person and remote
  • Coordinate crew logistics, transportation, and media delivery for production
  • Work with editorial and social media teams to coordinate delivery of content
  • Some media management and production coordination

Who you are:

  • You are a creative thinker with the ability to find new ways to present video content.
  • You stay on top of the latest trends, especially as they pertain to wellness and self-care.
  • You have some field production, post-production and live experience.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years creative production experience and a well-rounded list of credits and clips, demonstrating experience in both traditional and digital video landscapes including for social media.
  • You have a passion and curiosity for multiple genres, and an understanding of the digital landscape and prestige digital production.
  • You are deadline driven and results oriented.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are a problem solver by nature.
  • You have the ability to work an extended schedule as productions require.
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are well-versed in common production jargon.
  • You have a passion for the Oprah Daily vision and a commitment to its mission.

The basesalaryfor this role is between $64, 000 and $66, 625.The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base payrangeis subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
