Overview

The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Associate Director, Special Event for their Office of Events department. This role will be responsible in planning, developing, and managing all aspects of events that meet the strategic goals of SPS. Act as liaison between the SPS Events Department and other SPS Departments, Centers, and programs. Conceptualize themes and research requests, assess feasibility, make recommendations, and execute events. Evaluate events and share data with other team members and SPS leadership, as appropriate. Develop, improve, and document event processes. Proactively research event venues and event components and execution.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years experience planning and implementing events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to solve complex problems with multiple stakeholders in real time and juggle numerous demands at the moment. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas for clients that reinforce strategic priorities for the School. Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented. Experience managing multiple complex budgets and negotiating with vendors.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
