Job Description

Overview:

The Associate Director of Finance Operations will help manage the Verizon team within Zenith consisting of 300+ employees. Verizon is one of the top spending marketers in the US. This role helps the Zenith leadership team manage aspects of the client relationship and is an internal resource for media teams. The role will have a hands-on approach and be directly involved in leading finance operations and procurement processes. This position will report into the VP of Finance and Commercial Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage staffing and headcount in conjunction with leads

  • Work with leads to determine needs, resource allocation or re-allocation, replacements, and work with Corporate Finance to get approvals

  • Scope management, including deliverable tracking and burn reporting

  • Quarterly scope, hours and fee reconciliation and related client reporting

  • Work across the account to gather inputs for client performance reviews

  • Ensure financial integrity of client agreements, internal reporting, and procedures

  • Work with account team and Corporate Finance to ensure quarterly non-working fees and commissions are billed per contracts

  • Establish key operational processes and ensure adherence

  • Assist with internal and external Finance-related audits

  • Work with teams to assess key areas in need of automation/ process improvement

  • Develop a necessary nomenclature/taxonomy for ease in data cleansing

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years overall business expertise in a client services industry, financial or accounting related experience

  • Understanding of a broad range of media advertising channels from National TV, Local Broadcast, OOH, Print, Display, OLV, Search

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and proven expertise in complex Excel formulas (V-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) to support reporting

  • Comfortable working with large data sets

  • A minimum of 5 years of advertising/media experience ideal

  • Knowledge of Media tools, Prisma and/or Media Ocean a plus

  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work proactively

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • Fast learner with problem solving skills and willingness to find solutions

  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills

Compensation Range: $91,000 - $115,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
