THE ROLE: Associate Contracts Attorney
Job Summary:
The Presidio Associate Contracts Attorney is responsible for facilitating commercial transactions while protecting Presidio from risk. The position will be focused on commercial transactions - negotiating and revising technology sales and services agreements with customers and resale contracts with vendors and the management of and negotiation of sales transactions generally.
Travel Requirements:
This position does not require any travel. It will be based in any location in the United States.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, negotiate and revise Presidio commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Sales Agreements, Value Added Resale agreements, Managed Services Agreements, and other sales contracts on a daily basis.
- Negotiate agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Advise business clients on risk and company approval processes and policies.
- This position involves a significant amount of multi-tasking.
- The individual must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- The successful candidate will be able to prioritize effectively, work under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel, and interact well with internal clients, customers, staff and vendors.
Required skills:
- Ability to communicate legal subject matter to people who do not have in depth familiarity with legal concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and revise clear, concise commercial agreements.
- Ability to multitask, organize, plan, and prioritize workload; with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent client-service skills and attitude toward internal and external customers.
- Ability to accurately spot issues and formulate solutions with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Cable or telecommunications industry experience.
Education & Experience:
- Law Degree from an Accredited Law School
- Admission to the bar
- 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably negotiating contracts ideally within the corporate department of a law firm.
