FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Hunter College is seeking an outstanding researcher and educator in the area of Nutrition to appoint as an Assistant Professor. Duties involve teaching, research and student mentorship guidance in area(s) of expertise. The faculty member will be part of Hunter College's 125+ year old tradition in Nutrition and Food Science education and training, and will share responsibility for committee and program assignments including administrative and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Earned doctoral degree in Nutrition, or closely related field.

  • Evidence of successful academic research, external funding, and publication history in relevant disciplines or potential to develop a research program, and mentor/supervise graduate and undergraduate student research projects

  • Credentialed as a RDN and additional certifications to contribute to Hunter College's ACEND accredited programs.

  • Demonstrated university level teaching experience (in-person and online) and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment

COMPENSATION

Salary commensurate with education and experience ($67,072 - $90,375)
