TIAA Advisory Communications Designer in New York, New York

The Advisory Communications Designer is responsible for the end to end process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos for thought leadership from the Investment Management Group (IMG). This individual can translate ideas and concepts into visual representations to be used in various mediums. Target audiences are Wealth Management Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Financial Consultants, investment support teams as well as existing and potential customers. Target customer audiences span from mass affluent, to high net worth, to small-to-mid sized institutions, endowments and foundations.

Conducts ideation and visualization sessions, and ensures that new product concepts are feasible and within strategic marketing parameters

The role reports to the Dir. Advisory Communications & Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • • Creating guidelines for how materials should be displayed and used.• Developing an overarching visual language to help build a consistent IMG brand look and feel• Help develop templates to facilitate easy creating/updating of communications materials• Capturing and helping to define graphic requirements and translate them into a design. • Preparing rough drafts and presenting ideas, and amend designs after feedback• Working with writers, editors and SMEs to produce the final design.• Helping to make design choices for all content used by the IMG.• Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on brand.

Potential Salary: $96,450.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
