POSITION DETAILS

In support of the Office of Diversity and Compliance, reporting to the Dean for Diversity and Compliance/ Chief Diversity Officer, the Administrative Coordinator duties include the following:

• Administers and manages recurring office functions such as search related correspondence and communications with search chairs and committees, organizing and scheduling weekly department status meeting, preparing status minutes and follow-up plans, monitoring staff assignments, responding to complainants and distributing timely and relevant information in confidential or highly sensitive matters

• Reviews and verifies demographic data to support advancing searches to the next level and ultimately for preparing year-end reports

• Prepares statistical trends and patterns for reports and presentations using appropriate applications, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

• Updates several office databases (Title IV, EEO, Workplace, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.

• Conducts internet and/or database and legal research.

• Performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.

• Assists with programming and planning, as well as the Affirmative Action Plan and other compliance matters.

• Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

• Assists department with Title IX, Workplace Violence and EEO investigations

• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a team setting with diverse staff of all levels and communicate effectively with staff in other offices such as Office of the President, HR, Provost Office, Student Affairs, Public Safety. Finance Hunter Foundation Office

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree, ability to work under deadline pressures, and ability to manage multiple priorities are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong familiarity in CUNYfirst

• Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs

• Experience with Photoshop, desktop publishing, marketing skills a plus

• Proficiency with social media platforms and related technology

  • Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

  • May supervise office staff and student workers.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with education and experience, within approved range: $44,411 - $60,394.
