Sony Pictures Entertainment Ad Sales Trainee, Game Show Network - Spring 2025 in New York, New York

This Spring Trainee position is from mid to late February through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Game Show Network’s Direct Response Advertising department manages the direct response advertising sales for the national cable network, Game Show Network; over-the-air channels (GET and Game Show Central); premium movie channels (Sony Movies and Sony Cine) and Sony’s syndicated properties including Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
We maximize revenue for our properties by working with our agency partners and internal stakeholders on a daily basis. We offer a team-oriented, fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to providing clients with the highest level of service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Account Executives and Sales Planners in the advertising order process
Ensure that all orders are compliant with all client requirements
Data entry and updating new and revised orders in our deal management systems
Monitor pre-emptions, clearance, and overall campaign performance
Maintain client files, including all correspondence, contracts and revisions
Help resolve problems with copy, billing, order discrepancies and inventory issues
Liaise with traffic to resolve all advertiser issues as needed
Responding to all client requests in a timely manner
Serving as a backup for other team members
Maintaining and nurturing relationships with internal counterparts
Performing other tasks as directed by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday

High level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Detailed-oriented and team player
Great verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines
Proficient with Excel, knowledge of Word and PowerPoint a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in Wide Orbit helpful
Ability to work overtime with short notice
Experience where strong customer service and problem-solving skills are utilized
