Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the IT Software industry based in New York, New York, 10119, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you will be tasked with managing Accounts Payable, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, and Account Reconciliation. The position is hybrid, necessitating a few on-site days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Handle Journal Entries, accurately inputting data into the system.
• Carry out Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are balanced and discrepancies are addressed.
• Perform Account Reconciliation, verifying that all accounting records are consistent and correct.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and financial reporting.
• Operate Sage Intacct software for accounting purposes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Experience in preparing Journal Entries
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Expertise in Account Reconciliation
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of general ledger systems and financial chart of accounts
• Understanding of accounting principles, data entry, and retrieval system capabilities.
