Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York
Description We are opening a position for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the bustling city of New York. This role is situated within the industry of procurement and accounts payable and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. You will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including managing vendor creation, invoice approval, and maintaining accurate records within the company's accounting software system.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintaining precise customer credit records
• Resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts
• Adding contract numbers into a user-defined field in Concur
• Ensuring invoices are not duplicates and do not collectively exceed the contract value
• Inputting GL coding into Concur
• Approving invoices for payment
• Organizing vendor creation: setting up vendors in JP Morgan, entering banking information, creating edit lists
• Assigning invoices in Concur
• Utilizing ERP and other accounting software systems to perform accounting functions and manage high-volume invoicing
• Executing accrual accounting and account coding tasks within the accounts payable function. Requirements • Proficient in Account Coding to ensure accurate financial records
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems for streamlined financial management
• Mastery of Concur for business expense reporting and management
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for holistic business process management
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions to maintain financial stability in the company
• Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) to manage the company's bills and expenses
• Experience in Accrual Accounting for recognizing revenue and expenses
• Ability to handle High-Volume Invoicing to ensure timely payments
• Skill in entering Vendor Invoices to manage and track company expenses
