POSITION DETAILS
The CUNY School of Medicine at The City College of New York (CCNY), is the only medical school in the City University of New York system. Our innovative curriculum allows students to complete both their undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees in seven years. CUNY School of Medicine also offers a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies (PA). Our mission is to provide access to medical education to talented individuals from social, ethnic and racial backgrounds historically underrepresented in medicine and to develop health professionals committed to practicing in under-served communities with a special emphasis on primary care and reducing health disparities. Reporting to the Director of Educational Technology, the Academic Program Coordinator will provide administrative support for the educational platforms and technology used by the students and faculty in the School of Medicine to support the educational mission of the School. The incumbent will assist the Director in helping faculty to integrate appropriate and innovative technologies to support life-long learning and promote the effective use of educational technology services. The applicant will make informed assessments and inform management of areas requiring attention.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinate logistics for department events and meetings
Collaborate in the production, editing, and implementation of policies regarding specifics and format of data to be collected
Coordinate meetings; prepare minutes and agenda; draft reports as needed
Serve as liaison to various College offices to ensure smooth operations
Assist with day-to-day operations in the Learning Management System (LMS)
Manage CUNY Calendar in LMS
Assist with maintaining student schedules in the LMS
Assist course directors with compiling and publishing in-house electronic exams
Assist with maintaining Gradebook reporting
Performing multiple administrative duties
Coordinating and facilitating workshops for faculty and staff pertaining to program requirements/policies and professional development
Updating and tracking budget expenditures and supervising office operations as needed.
Complete departmental ERFs (Employer Remittance Form)
Manage and track part-time worker hours
Manage travel authorizations
Maintain department information on CUNYMed website
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education is strongly preferred.
Experience working directly with faculty is preferred
Computer proficiency using standard office software programs/applications.
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of student information systems
Strong presentation, verbal, writing and interpersonal communication skills to ensure effective, collaborative, and cooperative work with a diverse community of students, faculty and staff
Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage multiple demands and projects, and meet deadlines
A strong customer service orientation and attention to details are essential, along with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
The successful candidate will be a quick learning self-starter with the ability to take initiative who acquires a detailed knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems

Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides administrative and program support to an administrative or academic department.
Oversees department operations and assists management in planning department activities, creating schedules, assigning staff and preparing and delivering department communications.
Supervises and trains college assistants and federal work-study students.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$68,245 - $75,131
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
