Pfizer CHANTIX Director, Consumer Marketing in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY:

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the US and is a national health priority. The CHANTIX Consumer Team is responsible for inspiring smokers to quit and encouraging them to seek treatment for smoking cessation.

The Director, Consumer Marketing will play an important role on the CHANTIX Brand Team. This individual should have classical branding and consumer marketing experience, analytic and business planning skills, and the ability to inspire and partner with external and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing and applying consumer insights, leading the strategic and creative development of DTC campaigns, and driving competitive response efforts.

This team operates in an environment that embraces and encourages innovative ideas and an OWN it culture. This position is based in Pfizer's NY Headquarters and will report to the CHANTIX Consumer Team Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director, Consumer Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing consumer strategies, tactics and initiatives that maximize patient engagement and drive CHANTIX growth. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the Consumer Op Plan captain and Tactical Plan lead

  • Develop and activate a new DTC campaign, including TV pool-outs. Lead DTC TV shoots and production of the ads

  • Ensure insights, messaging and creative opportunities are maximized across the media mix

  • Develop and activate an integrated consumer strategy across disciplines. Ensure appropriate synergies and alignment across channels (e.g. HCP and Pharmacy)

  • Lead all PR initiatives, including media outreach. Work closely with the Corporate Media Relations team

  • Measure the impact of marketing initiatives, generate early learnings and drive continuous improvement

  • Actively engage in research to stay current with patient needs

  • Lead "Chairman's Challenge" partnerships with Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Rite-Aid to reach NRT users in-store

  • Lead S&OP partnership and ensure continuous product supply

  • Act as the Regulatory liaison and ensure label and package compliance

  • Lead competitive simulation exercises to identify and address competitor strategies and mitigate risk

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of marketing experience.

  • Pharmaceutical or related industry experience required

  • Ability to lead strategically and drive performance

  • Demonstrated financial and analytic thinking skills

  • Strong communication skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership

  • Demonstrated success in maintaining productive/collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners

  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high energy environment

  • Demonstrated creativity and decision-making skills

  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential

  • Undergraduate degree.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Consumer marketing preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or CPG experience preferred.

  • MBA preferred
