As an Associate Business Development Representative, you will find and screen potential clients who could benefit from FactSet’s offerings. You will speak with a variety of financial institutions, including Corporates, Investment Banks, Private Equity/Venture Capital firms, Hedge Funds, and Wealth Management firms, and advise on customized solutions that could fit into the prospects’ investment workflows and needs. An ideal Associate Business Development Representative will have a strong understanding of the financial landscape and will excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and showcasing FactSet in a compelling way.ResponsibilitiesUtilize SalesForce, outbound cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities.Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market by generating leads, developing strong relationships with prospects, and finding new sales channels.Provide meaningful background information to prospects, identify prospects’ needs, and pitch relevant FactSet solutions.Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and consistently engage sales representatives for next steps.Conduct product demonstrations, run trials, and close the business.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent degree.1-2 years of finance experience, with a clear interest in working within the financial services industry.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proven creative problem-solving approach with strong technology skills.High energy and motivation to excel in a sales organization.Preferred QualificationsDegree in finance.1-2 years of sales experience, with a history of selling multiple solutions.Experience using FactSet or one of its competitors.The budgeted base salary for this position in the states of Connecticut, New York, and California is $70,000.
