Do you want to work on behalf of the public good? The MITRE Business Process Innovation department may be for you! Our department is a part of MITRE’s Enterprise Strategy and Transformation (ES&T) Innovation Center. We offer process engineering and business innovation knowledge and capabilities across the MITRE enterprise to enhance effectiveness and sustain transformational impact for our government sponsors. The ES&T Innovation Center is a growing team of approximately 200 professionals collaborating to drive targeted and enduring change within an enterprise; work with sponsor leaders to reimagine and solve complex problems while anticipating future challenges or opportunities; and guide sponsor improvements to processes, strategies, technologies, and organizational systems. Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyze alternatives to improve future business operations for federal departments
Conduct interviews to elicit business requirements
Use qualitative analysis methods to find trends, themes, and similarities
Develop trusted strategic partnerships with key customers and stakeholders
Assess the alignment of services and technology with desired business/mission strategies and objectives
Help organizations use diverse teams of customers and stakeholders to ideate, select, define, and iterate solution concepts to complex problems
Assist internal innovation partners in advancing innovation frameworks and methodologies within enterprise transformation environments
Partner with leadership (internal and external) in defining and communicating their vision for major organizational transformations
Work with partners to explore potential and actual operational implications of introducing an innovation (e.g. a new technical solution)
Share and present your developed ideas to team members
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Familiarity with two or more of the following areas:
Business Innovation
Design Thinking
Human-Centered Design
Service Design
Lean Startup
Innovation Management
Strategic Foresight
Business Process Improvement
Qualitative Analysis Methodology
Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Government security clearance.
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred.
Experience working in complex environments.
Certified in Design Thinking, Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), or Lean Six Sigma.
Preference is given to candidates holding current/active US Government security clearance(s).

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$89,000 - $111,500 - $134,000 Annual
