Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects related to infrastructure within food manufacturing plants. This role involves project justification, setup, execution, and handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Develop and present detailed project proposals and justifications for CAPEX investments.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support project approval.
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Oversee onsite project activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or delays.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including management, contractors, and vendors.
Provide regular project updates and reports to ensure transparency and alignment.
Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to operations teams.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
Proven experience managing CAPEX projects, with a strong understanding of infrastructure requirements.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an onsite, full-time position. The company offers competitive benefits, including 12 holidays and 10 vacation days. A company-provided computer will be used for work. Per diem and travel reimbursements are available for non-local candidates. There is a home rotation once a month.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00
