Equipment Cleaner positions begin at $28.46. Annual Bonus opportunity (FOIP) up to 3.5% of annual earnings Work Schedule: Weekly Rotating Shifts for Production Employees, Monday through Friday. Shift start time depends on the department, but weekly rotations begin on 3rd, 2nd, and then 1st shift. The Processing Equipment Cleaner must possess the skill and knowledge to dismantle, clean, sanitize and reassemble all equipment in the Processing system to produce the most consistent high quality product at the lowest cost. This person must be a team worker and operate from simple written instructions, as well as brief verbal instructions. Must be able to perform with minimum supervision and regularly coordinate the work of others. They must possess the ability for department maintenance functions. The work requires mathematical skills of addition and subtraction and also some computer knowledge. Work may vary and be complex at times, requiring skill in adjusting and an awareness of all varieties. Responsibilities & Duties: Production: Wet mix and cream scales. Distribute emulsifier carts. Empty trash containers and remove to trash truck. Assist ingredient handlers. Assist in distribution of EMC. Assist in making of wet mix. Changeover of all liquid holding tanks. Make EMC, EMFC, EMC Swiss. Assist with Butterfat (AMF) unloading Use of respirator while mixing enzymes. Sanitation: Must have understanding to dismantle, clean, sanitize and reassemble: Product pumps, piping and screens. Liquid storage tanks. Roof vents. CIP Systems. Unload tank trucks and clean. Upkeep of all period works in area. Must possess knowledge of all changeover procedures and sanitation procedures. Must possess knowledge of all chemicals and cleaners. Must be responsible for all paperwork and record keeping. Quality: Report possible questionable liquids received to a supervisor or production manager. Take temperature of liquids received. Obtain samples of liquids received for testing and bacti. Holding tank thermometer checks (monthly) an on line temperature checks weekly. Holding tank spray ball checks (weekly). Obtain alkali and acid samples (weekly) to be checked for solution strengths. Liquid line plug checks (monthly). Follow department GMP's. Working knowledge of Quality Suites Properly document all Paperwork and Recording Charts Equipment Operated: Must be responsible for operation of all sanitation equipment, as well as all production equipment being cleaned. Must be able to run all equipment after it is reassembled to ensure proper assembly. Lack of attention to the job could cause very substantial inconveniences, delay or cost and may not be readily detectable. Safety: Must be safety conscious at all times as working with moving machinery is a moderate but controllable hazard. Initial & yearly respirator fit test & physical through NUMC. Working Conditions: Fair - Work at times may be strenuous and pace hectic. Temperature may get up to 95 in some areas. Conditions may be wet at times. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Preferred. Previous Manufacturing Experience Preferred.
