Job Title: Electric Motor Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Electric Motor Assembler to join our team. This role involves assembling very small electric motors, which weigh roughly one pound, and require precision and care. The work is repetitive, as thousands of these motors are produced annually. While J-Standard certification is a huge plus, it is not required.
Responsibilities
Assemble and test electric motors using hand and power tools.
Follow manufacturing test procedures and implement continuous improvement ideas for the manufacturing process.
Perform electronic and/or mechanical assembly tasks, including reading schematics and mechanical drawings.
Operate machine tools and production tooling and fixtures.
Place parts in specified relationships to each other as a sub-assembly or final assembly by soldering, clipping, screwing, or fastening parts together using blueprints or schematics.
Solder, hand braze, or induction braze as required.
Rotate to different workstations as production needs require.
Help pack products into individual boxes and cases and place them on skids.
Inspect and gauge finished parts, make tooling adjustments, and handle and move supplies and materials.
Verify that outside labels and unit labels are the same for all packet parts.
Clean equipment and work areas by performing daily and weekly safety checks of equipment.
Essential Skills
Electronic and/or mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with machine tool operations and operation of production tooling and fixtures.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand throughout the duration of the shift, bend, twist, and reach.
Proficiency in reading, understanding, and speaking English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Soldering skills (a plus but not required).
J-Standard certification (a huge plus but not required).

Work Environment
This role is based in a factory setting with an assembly line environment. The smell of production equipment running is present. The position requires standing for long periods, as well as bending, twisting, and reaching.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76
