Google Engineering Program Manager, Display in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in hardware EE system, sensors, optoelectronics, touch and display related module engineering or technical project management.

  • Experience in hardware engineering and technical project management in consumer products through the entire life-cycle with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer electronics, phones, systems, display, sensors and touch hardware development.

  • Experience with a demonstrated record of product development, project management or engineering management.

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering (EE) systems, display, sensors hardware development, manufacturing processes, and collaboration with Contract Manufacturers (CM).

  • Ability to lead collaboration among technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors in alignment with project plans.

  • Strong communication, organizational execution, and leadership skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise with broad program management experience to drive projects. You will lead and organize, work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers. You will set strategy, streamline productivity, and ensure timely execution. You will be responsible for managing and communicating status and issues.

  • Lead complex Mobile Display/Touch module hardware projects from product definition to design lock for mass production with cross-functional teams.

  • Partner with Display/Touch module tech design teams to autonomously manage the development of hardware modules and drive overall execution and strategy for one or more systems.

  • Lead hardware module development schedule, project phase gate reviews, and resolution on key technical issues with the cross-functional teams and vendors to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.

  • Implement process improvements to streamline module development.

  • Communicate project status to stakeholders with demonstrated leadership.
