Essential Functions of the Job:
Manage supplies to ensure assembly workers have all the required materials, parts, and tools for efficient production.
Gathers, organizes, and stages materials for the assembly line based on the production schedule.
Regularly monitors inventory levels to avoid shortages and ensure materials, parts, and supplies are readily available to support an efficient assembly process.
Maintains a sense of urgency to support the assembly line efficiency by retrieving additional parts and supplies as needed, including making runs to the storage areas as needed.
Maintains clear and timely communication with assembly line workers and supervisors regarding material availability and needs.
Maintains accurate inventory records, including material usage and restock needs.
Consistently follows all safe work procedures when handling materials and equipment.
Will assist with receiving and transfers, as needed.
Safe use and operation of a forklift truck. Use of a pendant operated overhead crane, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and meet strict deadlines
Good verbal and written communications skills
Experience with inventory management software or ERP system is a plus.
Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Willingness and ability to learn a wide range of parts and supplies required for each station of the assembly areas.
Ability to safely use and operate a forklift truck and a pendant operated overhead crane.
Ability to help manage warehouse organization and storage, assuring parts and supplies are stored in the proper locations.
Education and Experiences
HS diploma or GED required
Experience in inventory management, warehousing, or stock handling in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
Fast-paced, production environment where efficiency and accuracy are crucial.
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds alone.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hours) as required.
Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing/eye protection, gloves and safety shoes.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant environment.
Must be able to tolerate heights.
Able to perform frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing as required by tasks being completed
