Part Time in New Philadelphia Office

$29.80 per hour as needed up to 10 hours per week

Elementary Drama Therapist

Start Date:  August 5, 2024

Overview

  • Available during school hours
  • Contacting and administering Adverse Childhood Experiences Assessment (ACE)
  • Familiar with Miss Kendra Curriculum
  • Provide test anxiety sessions
  • Reach out to community agencies for partnerships (i.e. Big Brothers)
  • Contact school districts if more information on new/entering students is needed
  • Meet with students individually or in small groups to help with youth wellness
  • Ability to travel as well as conduct Zoom Conferences/Presentations
  • Works cooperatively with Family Advocate and Care Coordinators
  • Consult with teachers periodically about individual student needs
  • Support and consult with area agencies in a variety of counties to support resilience in students
  • Maintain documented files as needed for all activities
  • Attending and participating in IEP conferences as required
  • Planning and organizing online orientation session schedule and logistics
  • Returning all communications ASAP but no longer than 24 hours later
  •  Attending all staff meetings; attending and participating in all school trainings and meetings
  • Makes referrals to social agencies when deemed necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: theatre, psychology, music, creative therapies, and rehabilitation science

Meets all mandated health requirements (shots) 

A record free of all criminal violations that prohibit public school employment

Complies with drug free workplace rules and policies

Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Organization and time-management skills

Excellent writing and grammar skills
