Duties: The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz invites applications for a full-time, 3-year renewable lecturer position beginning in Fall 2025. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 30 credit hours of coursework, or the equivalent, during the academic year. Possible courses include Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, and core courses in History and Systems, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Lifespan Development, and Psychopathology. Teaching advanced coursework In your own specialty area or an advance writing-intensive seminar is also possible. Specific course assignments will be negotiated subsequent to hiring.

Qualifications: Required:• Demonstrated successes or potential in the domain of college teaching and the ability to teach a broad array of courses are essential for this position

Preferred:• A Ph.D. in any relevant area of psychology is preferred; exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
