Job Title: 1st Shift Manual Lathe Machinist
Job Description
Operate multiple manual lathe machines throughout our shop to create and repair boat components. The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined and possess their own set of micrometer and calipers.
Hard Skills
Ability to measure in 0+- .001
Convert fractions to decimals
Able to read machinist scales
Own tools
Experience working with bearings, brass, iron, and duramax materials
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
Schedule
The first shift runs Monday through Friday from 6am-2:30pm. Weekends and overtime may be required as needed.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily outdoors in a boat yard, where conditions can include extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Strict adherence to safety and PPE requirements is mandatory, with violations leading to immediate termination.
