Built on the foundation of | | excellence and integrity, we are dedicated to providing the highest | | level of service at all of our parking facilities. | | | | Job Summary: | | | | The Human Resource Coordinator will assist in implementing the | | functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and | | interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and | | maintaining company policies and practices. This position reports to | | the Corporate Human Resources Manager and Senior Vice President of | | Administration and Operations. | | | | Duties/Responsibilities: | | | | - Assists in talent acquisition process. Performs recruiting | | activities: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire | | orientation, with the goal of timely staffing of all vacant | | positions. | | - Process all employee timecards and payroll on a bi-weekly basis. | | - Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on policies, | | procedures, and documentation. | | - Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify appropriate | | resolution for routine and non-routine issues. | | - Proficient with MS Office and the ability to learn new systems | | quickly. | | - Able to exercise good judgement and confidentiality in all | | matters. | | - Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. | | - Build and oversee relationships with key outside partners, | | vendors, union etc. | | - Maintain records of recruiting activities and follows steps in | | compliance with the company recruiting guidelines. | | - Tracks employee attendance, leave of absences, training, | | performance evaluations, employee evaluations etc. | | - Manages health and welfare records including annual and new | | employee enrollments, changes, and terminations as well as | | general file management. | | - Coordinates compliance with federal, state, and local employment | | laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews | | policies and practices to maintain compliance. | | - Communicat information regarding insurance plans and options to | | employees. | | - Provide guidance to managers on compliance issues, employee | | development, employee relations, discipline, terminations, | | occupational health and safety and union grievances and union | | stewards (if applicable). | | - Coordinates and investigates unlawful harassment and | | discrimination complaints. | | - Knowledge and expertise in Human Resources and Safety Compliance | | laws, procedures, and regulations. Knowledge and expertise in | | Workers Compensation laws and practices | | - Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory | | changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent | | management, and employment law and working knowledge of unionized | | environment. | | - Maintains DOT complaint driver qualification files (if | | applicable). | | - Review and understand the collective bargaining agreement (if | | applicable). | | - Performs other duties as required. | | | | Required Education: | | | | - Preferred Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business | | Administration, or related field or equivalent years of | | experience. | | - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. | | - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution | | skills. | | - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. | | - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. | | - Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when | | appropriate. | | - Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and | | confidentiality. | | - Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. | | - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. | | - Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the | | organizations HRIS and talent management systems. | | - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. | | - Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times. | | - Must be able to access and navigate each department at the | | organizations facilities. | | | | Required Experience: | | | | - Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources. | | - Preferred 5 years experience in Human Resources Preferred 1-3 | | years experience in a unionized workplace (if applicable). | | | | License/Certification: | | | | Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP | |
