JOB REQUIREMENTS: Sell spare and replacement parts and equipment in repair shop or parts store. Provide excellent customer service for both walk-in and phone customers. Consult catalogs and computer for correct parts/paint supplies, create invoices and pull parts per customer order in efficient manner, mix paint as needed and/or pull from stock, prep orders for timely delivery and color match at customer locations as needed. Assist with checking in related stock and putting it away, setting up displays, keeping showroom neat and clean, and updating catalogs. Assist with deliveries. Fill customer orders from stock. Place new merchandise on display. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts. Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices. Receive and fill telephone orders for parts. Receive payment or obtain credit authorization. Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers\' descriptions of malfunctions. Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money. Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems. Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record. Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipts. Arrange merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers. Write customer orders and sales contracts according to company guidelines. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must exhibit excellent customer service abilities/attitude (both in person and on the phone), proficient in catalog/computer use, and accurate with numbers (product is shelved numerically). Maintain valid driver\'s license and good driving record, lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 75 lbs. infrequently.
