Need 10 full time, temporary, seasonal Construction Laborers to work in New London, MN. From: 09/16/2024 - 12/16/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 9 hrs./day 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered under this job order, but may not be required. The employer may require workers to work 45 hours per week but if it requests workers to work additional hours, the worker has the right to work only the 45 hours per week and not the additional hours offered by the employer. OVERTIME: As required in Minnesota, all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. MN ESST Law: Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. OTHER PAY/BONUS DETAILS: Merit based bonuses may be given. Higher hourly rate may be given based on experience, tenure, skill, and other non-discriminatory factors. Workers may be entitled to bonus pay based on safety, performance, or other standards. Workers may be offered a bonus of up to $100.00 for becoming a Farm Labor Contractor Employee (hereinafter referred to as FLCE). All workers will be paid for hours in obtaining their FLCE license. Drivers may be entitled to additional compensation for properly maintaining company vehicles. Drivers will be paid drive time hours at the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) for the state in which work is performed. Must Apply By: 11/01/2024 JOB DUTIES: Measure and complete layout of livestock building and or poultry building. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixer. Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery or equipment. Position and dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement. Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall section or pipes. Tie rebar, position aluminum wall-forms, and place all concrete. Clean job site. Workers will work on their feet in bent, stooped and crouched positions and on ladders up to ten (10) feet in height for long periods of time. Employees must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment with a weight of 75 pounds frequently throughout the workday. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Workers should be physically able to do the work required. Workers will be expected to work on days that are deemed workable by Employer's management. Disciplinary action may be taken if worker does not show up for work due to stated conditions. Workers are expected to be at work on time every day work is available and to work the full workday as specified in this job order. All workers that have a valid driver's license must agree to and comply with the employer's fleet policy agreement prior to driving any company vehicles. Workers shall not drive a company vehicle unless written permission is provided to employee. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month of wall-setting experience required, and one (1) month of training will be provided. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs. for 75 yds. Able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose re idence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
