Exotic Automation & Supply Crib Inventory Specialist in New Hudson, Michigan

General Summary:

Manages the day-to-day operations of the customer site crib inventory ensuring delivery of excellent customer service.   Related activities include, but are not limited to, setting up/organizing/stocking/labeling storage bins and hose racks, surveying customer inventory levels at field locations, interfacing with Sales staff and customer personnel and utilizing crib management tools. Responsible to perform a variety of general warehouse duties including: receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, delivering and picking up packages.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for surveying inventory levels at field customer locations.

  • Responsible for setting up fitting bins, hose racks, organizing bins, labeling and physically stocking parts.

  • Recording parts required and writing up order requirements.

  • Communication with customer personnel.

  • Communication with customer service department.

  • Ability to operate larger vehicles i.e. box truck or cargo van.

  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.

  • Good PC skills – MS Office environment preferred.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude.

  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to maintain a high level of ownership and accuracy on all work activities.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task efficiently with changing work activities under short deadlines.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.

  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures: hot and cold.

  • Ability to bend/lift and/or carry weight to industry standards.

  • Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team. Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.    

    Supplemental Job Functions:

  • Responsible for obtaining cross-functional training within the Warehouse.

  • Provides and supports a positive work environment.

  • Responsible for profitability of company and attaining goals and objectives set forth by the Board of Directors.

  • Participates in corporate on-boarding and orientation programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Advanced customer service attributes.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Strong math skills

  • Proven ability to learn new concepts and apply them successfully.

  • Advanced self-motivation skills and strong detail orientation.

  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry weight up to 50 lbs.

  • Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team.  Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.

    Working Conditions:

  • Normal warehousing environment with regular (up to 100% of work time) exposure to noise, dust, office equipment and supplies. 

  • Physical dexterity needed to bend, stretch, lift and reach.

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures: hot and cold.
