Job Title: Community Support Assistant
Scope of Service:Community Support Assistant providescomprehensive community-based residential and support services to persons with mental health, intellectual, and addiction needs. Provides hands-on, intensive skill-building interventions and supports to enrich and achieve an overall level of independence and well-being. Collaborates with Community Support Specialists and program to support client in achieving aspirations through person-centered, strengths-based, and culturally competent methods. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree preferred. Associates or 60 credits towards a Bachelors Degree considered with a minimum of one (1) year experience in related behavioral health field. High School Diploma or equivalent considered with a minimum of three (3) years experience in related field.
- Prior experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or addiction.
- Knowledge of the community support system and resources preferred.
- Valid Connecticut Drivers license with clean driving record is required. Scattered site and non-24 hr. program positions require the employee to maintain reliable transportation and be willing to transport clients in personal vehicles.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Employee is responsible to maintain ongoing certification.
- Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and electronic record keeping.
The following CSA positions are available with the following pay rates listed below:
FT/PT - First/Second/Third Shift: $18.83 - Weekend Differential of $19.83
