Indium Corporation Supplier Quality Engineering Technician in New Hartford, New York

JOB SUMMARY: The Supplier Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in managing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure the quality levels of all Indium Corporation’s products meet customer requirements while supporting the company’s growth, visions, and values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Assist in organizing data in supplier quality data

• Obtain up-to-date supplier information for the approved supplier list, including recent supplier surveys, contact information, certifications, manufacturing locations, website, etc.

• Create Incoming Inspection criteria and guidelines

• Create new and/or edit existing documented procedures relating to supplier quality

• Review incoming inspection data for completeness in order to obtain part approval; identify and communicate gaps to supplier and/or incoming inspection

• Issue and follow up on CAPAs and communicate with suppliers regarding status

• Collect data for supplier scorecards, including on time delivery, quality, premium freight, and customer disruptions

• Troubleshoot and gather information, including real data, on reported supplier issues in order to present the information to the supplier in a timely, logical format

• Complete Customer Surveys as requested

• Communicate effectively with other departments within the Indium organization and with Suppliers to Indium Corporation

• Attend training as needed or assigned

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in a technical field is preferred

• 2 years of Quality-related work experience preferred

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office, proficiency in Excel and Word

• Ability to work with math, statistical, and chemical equations, as well as mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and graphical or chart interpretations

• Knowledge of quality standards and statistical concepts

• Able to work independently or in team, as needed to meet goals

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$19.00 per hour - $25.25 per hour

($39,500 - $52,500 annually)
