Community Wellness Partners Grounds Keeper in New Hartford, New York
Essential Responsibilities:
Mowing, weeding, raking, trimming hedges and general landscaping deemed necessary by the facility. Familiar with the safe and proper use of related equipment including: lawn mower, weed trimmer, lawn clippers.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently and self-motivated.
Must have a valid New York State Driver’s license.
Experience in landscaping and grounds keeping.
Responsibilities:
Maintains lawns, grounds, shrubs, trees and flower beds.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment
HIPAA COMPLIANCE :
Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to LCCN policies and HIPAA regulations governing the confidentiality and security of protected health information for both manual and electronic resident records, charts, information and other confidential information including (but not limited to) employee records, computer access codes and passwords.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Appropriate attire as required by departmental dress code .
Working Conditions
Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
Subject to frequent interruptions.
Involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personal.
May be asked to work beyond normal working hours.
Works predominantly outdoors in the sun and heat.
Specific Requirements:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Must be a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
(With or without the aid of mechanical devices)
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to cope with the physical stress of this position.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable the senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff and support agencies.
Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, angry people within the facility.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
