Aerotek Machine Operator in New Freedom, Pennsylvania

Aerotek is looking for machine operators!

2nd shift to start ASAP

Description:

Mixing: using a small hand truck to maneuver barrels around the floor (do not need to do any more than about 10-15 pounds of lifting if they chose). Its very similar to a paint shop where lids are removed from barrels and set up with mixers to stir the material for a given period of time (could be an hour or 24 hours).

Coating: the barrels of adhesive are brought to machinery where the machinery is calibrated to the given material and the adhesive is applied to the material on these long roles.

Slitting: once material is coated, it is brought to slitting to be cut to customer specs and eventually moved over to shipping where it is packaged and labeled for the customer (during the tour, they were working on what looked like a basic adhesive tape and the machine was rolling these up and cutting it automatically when it got to the given length).

Shifts:

2nd 2p-10:30p (AR - train on 1st shift2-4 weeks)

Pay:

$20.35/hr
