Responsibilities Serves as technical and administrative supervisor over the Facility Maintenance Department exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations. Supervises a variety of occupations to include: Painters, Locksmiths, Maintenance Workers, and Carpenters. Provides assistance as workload demands to facilitate meeting the timeliness standards. Plans and schedules work assignments on a weekly to monthly basis for accomplishment within schedules and priorities established by higher level management. Assigns work by verbal or written instructions. Explains management programs and initiatives to employees, providing on-going support. Provides quality control, identifies deficiencies, and makes recommendations for improvements in work processes. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and the required ability or potential to perform the job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element (SOE) will be eliminated from further competition.
