Service Technician, Plant Specialist – 25 minutes

System Operations, Construction, Plant, Locator – 45 minutes

Neville Island – 3795 Mt. Nebo Rd., Sewickley, PA

New Castle – 3885 Benjamin Franklin Hwy., New Castle, PA

Monaca – 547 Reno St., Rochester, PA

Employees will be required to reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania regardless of the distance from their reporting location. All newly hired employees shall be required as a condition of employment to reside and maintain residency within the posted operating area to which they were hired within six (6) months of accepting the position.

Plant Specialist Summary:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to operate company assigned equipment, locate, install, repair and replace gas distribution facilities.

  • Coordinates, oversees and guides the activities associated with natural gas construction.

  • Operates line locator to locate and mark pipelines and curb boxes. Repairs curb boxes as needed and performs critical valve inspections.

  • Must have a CDL within 18 months from the date of hire.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications for Position:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles.

  • Must be capable of passing applicable physical capacity tests.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on assignments with limited direction.

  • Requires the ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to document records and understand written and oral communications.

  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge and/or experience of hand tools is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with difficult customer situations with tact and diplomacy is required.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position:

  • Prefers computer software experience.

Service Technician Summary:

  • Performs meter and regulator related activities and have knowledge of customer appliance servicing.

  • Responsible for company equipment and property at the job site.

  • Must have knowledge of Company operating procedures and related paperwork, safety procedures, and be able to use this knowledge in job performance.

Utility Representative Summary:

  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Personally makes premise visit on delinquent customers to collect or disconnect gas service at meter or curb

  • Performs various customer/company work requests, including transfers, disconnects, reads/rereads meters, locates/repairs, curb boxes, removes active and inactive meters, reads meters on

  • Documents assignment results, maintains assigned vehicle, tools/equipment and

  • Promotes excellent customer relations.

Required Qualifications for Position:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate company

  • Must be capable of passing applicable Service strength tests.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on assignments with limited direction.

  • Requires the ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to document records and understand written and oral

  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge and/or experience of hand tools is

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with difficult customer situations with tact and diplomacy is required.

  • This position is subject to DOT Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations.

Locator Technician Summary:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locate underground utilities in response to PA One Call.

  • Must be able to read maps and interpret information.

  • Responsible for submitting map revisions.

  • Must be able to become OQ qualified in all duties relevant to the area of Line Locating.

  • Other duties as assigned.
