Equipment Services Planner Scheduler

Work schedule is 6am - 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review all non-emergency work requests for the Equipment Services Department with Lead Technicians. Plan work as required including obtaining any additional sketches, diagrams, manuals, permits, etc. Provide realistic estimates for labor, parts and contractors required on work orders. Write a detailed step-by-step, job plan for the Technicians to follow and work with Lead Technicians to create a more efficient/effective task list on existing preventive maintenance (PM) items for long term equipment utilization success. Review completed scheduled PM work orders for consistency information and relay to Supervisor any concerns. Create, coordinate, and update purchase order (PO) issuing for contractors, including the contractor compliance data base. Assign new asset numbers for machines. Create new asset PM’s using manual baseline schedule and work with lead tech for adjustments. Create PM and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) routes as needed. Order stock or direct material parts for PMs, emergency, and non-emergency work requests. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Communicate a weekly schedule to Production Planner Schedulers, Equipment Services Supervisor, Lead Technician, etc.

  • Monitor PM compliance percentage, number of work orders generated by PMs, percentage planned versus unplanned, etc. Review and report actual versus planned completed work orders. Communicate recurring maintenance problems to Equipment Services Supervisor and Lead Technician Monitor/update reporting within Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years' related experience.

  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or high school diploma/GED plus 6+ years of related experience.

  • Experience with machine repair environments is high desireable.

  • Basic computer knowledge, good written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

  • Per 10-hour shift. Sit 6 hours. Stand 4 hours. Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level. Low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations.). Regular interactions with others and performs a degree of independent work. Infrequently lift up to 40 pounds. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Use of office equipment.
