Posting Summary
Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a UCHC Mental Health Clinician III for CSL Parole Board, located in Trenton, New Jersey. Participates in the assessment of clinical needs of adult offenders sentenced to the New Jersey State Parole Board (NJSPB). Arrives at DSM IV multi-axial diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of the evaluation session. Develops treatment plans. Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality. Assesses and makes referrals for higher levels of care, as appropriate. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and behaviors of adults (ages 18 - 64 years), seniors (ages 65 + years) and their families. Skilled in providing group, individual and family therapies.Duties include:
  • Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmates/patients.
  • Provides individual assessment, as clinically indicated to assigned inmates/patients.
  • Provides case administration services which include the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned inmates/patients and ongoing assessments and release/discharge planning
  • Maintains appropriate inmate/patient clinical records in a timely manner, as mandated by RBHS policy
