| Posting Summary | The Cinema Studies Program at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick) invites applications for a full time, 18-month non-tenure track (NTT) Lecturer position, beginning in January 1, 2025. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies or a relevant field; those who are ABD and will have their degree in hand by January 15th are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be able to teach broadly in the Cinema Studies curriculum, especially foundational courses in film analysis and surveys of film history; teaching load is three courses per semester.In particular, we seek a scholar whose teaching and research focus on US cinema in its breadth and depth, ranging from Hollywood to independent film, African American cinema, indigenous media, and other minoritarian modalities. Specializations in queer, trans, and disability studies are also welcome.
