Actalent Laboratory Technician in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description
In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of different sample/specimen tube types to process and ship specimens, support inventory management, create and package prep kits, and assure the quality of kits before sending them to patients. Your responsibilities will also include inputting patient data accurately in the electronic medical records and research databases. You will perform routine maintenance to lab equipment and file paperwork for all samples. You will work with human samples including urine, blood, fecal matter, saliva, etc. and perform complex testing for blood. Furthermore, you will collect tissues/body fluids and other biological specimens from various patient encounter areas to transport them.
Skills & Qualifications
BS in Biology or related science
2+ years of laboratory experience
Knowledge of different sample/specimen tube types
Data input in electronic medical records and research databases
Routine maintenance of lab equipment
Filing paperwork for samples
Working with human samples
Complex testing for blood
Collection of tissues/body fluids and other biological specimens
