RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Educator RN for our Trauma Services at the New Brunswick campus.
Qualifications:
Required:
BSN
Minimum of 5 years trauma-related nursing experience in emergency and/or critical care
National certification in either trauma, critical care, or emergency nursing
Requires evidence of knowledge and experience in the following areas: trauma care, management principals, resource management, communication and interpersonal relationship skills, and adult educational principles
Preferred:
Master's degree in Nursing preferred, Master s Degree in another applicable area of study considered
Experience/eligibility to become a TNCC coordinator, ATLS coordinator, ASSET/ATOM coordinator preferred
Certifications and Licenses Required:
BLS and ACLS Certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Attains and maintains certification in relevant trauma educational programs such as TNCC and/or ATCN

Essential Functions:
Implements the Education Plan of the Department of Trauma & Injury Prevention and the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.
Education projects are completed using established guidelines as outlined by regulatory agencies and consistent with the respective programs.
Guides, directs and assists interdisciplinary education teams with the development of educational programs.
Assists the trauma leadership to analyze existing educational programs and processes to identify actual and/or potential system/process/product issues which may affect efficiency, quality and/or cost effectiveness. Maintains documentation for Educational Programs.
