Posting Summary | The Division of Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to employ a Director of General and Preventative Cardiology. This position offers the opportunity for the potential faculty member to engage in research and join a team of cardiologists providing clinical cardiology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and at the academic practices of the medical school. As Director, the selected candidate will lead and give oversight to the General and Preventative Cardiology Section. They will develop, guide, manage, implement, monitor and enforce the clinical, administrative, educational and research activities of the Section to ensure efficient, timely and high-quality delivery of patient care services.They will also be responsible for providing Cardiology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick, which may include: general cardiology, echocardiography, advanced cardiac imaging, and support of outpatient and outreach clinics. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of the RWJBarnabas Health System. The affiliation of Rutgers Health and RWJ/Barnabas Health, the largest health system in NJ, presents exciting opportunities for growth and expansion of the pulmonary and critical care program. The integrated health system (RWJBarnabas) is a $5 billion enterprise and cares for about 40% of all NJ residents. |
