Inventory Control Specialist Maintenance

Responsibilities:
Monitor and adjust repair part inventory levels.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Place requisitions and purchase orders, expedite parts and communicate delivery time frame to maintenance personnel.
Additional responsibilities include the purchasing/negotiation functions related to repair parts and services using the Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) computer system.
Expedite repair parts or services needed per machine failure.
Collaborate with Technicians and Supervisors on part identification and usage.
Place requisitions, purchase orders, amend current purchase orders by changing dates, amounts or cancel existing orders to support the needs of the department.
Determine if parts need to be inventoried.
Search for best price and service.
Work with corporate purchasing and negotiate with supplier for best price break and delivery available.
Follow up on late or incorrect deliveries.
Use approved suppliers where prudent and possible to do so.
Perform 5S duties in work areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This position may report to Manager of Manufacturing Services, or other Departmental Supervisory roles.
Qualifications:
2-4 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Use a lift truck to stock and/or transfer parts in our stock locations, load/unload suppliers and occasionally take shipments to the Distribution Center
Occasional travel (0-5%)
Overnight stays unlikely
Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Business.
Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system knowledge
APIC Certification.
Ability to lead the discussion, meeting, projects, etc., and communicate with internal and external customers.
Experience with maintenance and/or machine repair environments.
Good interpersonal, organizational, math and communications skills (both written and verbal).
