Centurion Industries, Inc. Project Design Engineer - A-Lert Building Systems in New Braunfels, Texas
Centurion Industries, Inc., A-Lert Building Systems Division seeks a Product Design Engineer to work in New Braunfels, Texas to plan the design of technical drawings, specifications, modifications, and technical instructions for self-storage building systems, retrofit metal roofing, and metal building components. Create safe solutions to product/construction design requirements to meet and exceed building code compliance. Design specific projects in accordance with current city, state, and federal construction code compliance, retrofit and new construction standing seam metal roofs and self-storage facilities. Utilize 2D/3D AutoCAD software to aid in the planning and design of technical drawings according to calculated specifications. Prepare blueprint drawings for the manufacturing facility to fabricate products from and for field crews to erect and build projects from. Create new spreadsheets with specific mathematical formulas to facilitate the design, drafting and detailing processes of custom projects. Prepare technical instruction manuals for existing and new products. Assist in the development of structural designs of new products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software. Develop new product lines within the metal component, metal building, and metal roofing industries.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM field and 12 months of experience as a design engineer involving the design, planning and layout of technical drawings and the use of AutoCAD 2D/3D.
