Your responsibilities
- The Supply Chain Engineer supports the factory team and is responsible for identifying, developing, and optimizing processes and procedures within the Supply Chain, intralogistics, and warehouse areas.
- Defines, develops, and optimizes standards and processes to support uninterrupted, productive manufacturing.
- Responsibilities span all functions related to receiving, shipping, material handling and movements, inventory control, and customer service processes.
- The Supply Chain Engineer uses a standardized approach to continuously improve and develop the standards executed on the shop floor.
- The standardized tools and methods involve problem solving, analysis, risk management, and project management.
- The Supply Chain Engineer leads medium sized cross-functional projects, and actively participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Has an established competency and drives solutions focused on fulfilling customer requirements.

General Responsibilities:
- Definition and optimization of intralogistics material flow from incoming materials, commissioning, delivery to assembly lines, and outbound finished goods.
- Define and document standards across areas of responsibility.
- Support production and warehouse operations.
- Design material layouts, and develop material handling systems for the factory.
- SAP responsibilities as related to internal logistics.
- Write Standard Operating Procedures and ISO work instructions.
- Define packaging requirements for parts.
- Coordinate material handling safety and ergonomics in accordance with OSHA standards
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develops procedures and coordinates training for warehouse and production personnel associated with material handling, and maintains them in accordance with ISO/Training matrices.
- Performs computer simulations of logistic problems.
- Responsible for scanning, barcoding, and wireless technologies within warehouse.
- Streamlines processes through improved integration with SAP.
- Approves or issues specifications for packaging from vendors, both internal and external.
- Maximizes efficiency by analyzing processes and improving them.
- Determines the correct methods of material handling.
- Writes specifications and purchases material handling equipment.
- Manages projects in the areas of new product introduction, equipment selection and installation.
- Acts as participant, facilitator or leader of cross-functional teams.
- Assists in the preparation for annual budgets as well as review of annual budgets in accordance to business plan.
- All other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Four-Year College (Technical Engineering, e.g., Industrial Engineering) - Required
- Masters Degree (Technical Engineering, e.g., Industrial Engineering) - Preferred
- Certificate - AutoCAD, Value Stream Mapping, PFEP, Lean Line Design, KANBAN, Supermarket Calculation, Flow Simulations - Required
- Certifica e - MTM Logistics - Preferred
- Certificate - Project Management - Preferred
- Certificate - Problem Solving e.g., Red-X (Shainin), 8D, PDCA or 6-SIGMA - Preferred
