Continuous Improvement Manager

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting production data to drive transformational improvement while also assisting in mentoring and leading the facility through change management. Primary objectives include cost reduction, safety and quality improvements, process efficiency and change management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collects, analyzes, and interprets production data to drive performance and fact-based decision making.

Assists in training on lean tools, analysis, root cause problem solving, and structuring of implementation planning requirements for all operational areas.

Coaches, mentors, and guides local production unit leadership to drive daily performance through the Operations Management System.

Coaches, mentors and guides local production engineering team.

Drives accountability and fosters local ownership of key operational initiatives to ensure sustainability and scalability.

Serves as a change agent to foster a continuous improvement culture at local production unit.

Identifies and schedules transformation deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.

Plans, manages, analyzes, and delivers data for progress reviews.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience with continuous improvement within manufacturing.

Possess analytical ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces, creative thinking, analysis and fact-based data collection.

Strong oral and written communications skills to act as a change agent.

Proficient at building trusting relationships while motivating/influencing others to adopt new best practices through data driven discussion.

Leadership skills and ability to motivate personnel and drive positive change within the organization.

Self-starter that is adept at taking initiative and setting, pursuing and obtaining high goals.

Highly skilled in Lean and six sigma tools where concept was proven.

Green Belt or equivalent certification preferred, but not required.

Lean enterprise or office transformation experience.

Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.

Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

Skilled in Minitab and data analysis
