This position reports to Supply Chain Manager - System DrivesYour role and responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for Purchasing at ABB System Drives in New Berlin, WI, where you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Management team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage material purchasing and availability for both mass production and project-specific materials by working closely with our suppliers as well as ABB\'s production, planning & fulfillment, logistics, warehouse, and quality teams. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: *Ensuring short-term material availability for ABB\'s production lines and represent SCM in daily production meetings. *Reviewing and coordinating resolution of material shortages together with Supply Planning, Logistics and Warehouse teams in addition to ensuring that vendor-managed inventory levels are correctly maintained *Coordinating purchasing activities in ramp-down and ramp-up projects while also coordinating procurement of customer/project specific materials. *Placing Purchase Orders manually for materials not covered by the automatic PO generation process, resolving Goods Receipt and Past Due PO issues together with warehouse and logistics team.Qualifications for the role Bachelor\'s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR Associate\'s Degree with minimum 6 years experience OR High School Diploma with minimum 8 years experience. Preferred Experience Includes: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP or other ERP software. Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes with strong Data Analytics and Continuous Improvement mindset. Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment.
