Apex Systems is hiring for a Project Cost Analyst! Our client is looking for a qualified candidate that is local to New Albany, OH and surrounding areas. Job details are below.

Job Title: Project Cost Analyst Contract Duration: 12 months (about 1 year with the potential to extend) Rate Range: $31-$36.25/hour Location: New Albany, OH (Onsite role) **This role will start ONSITE and is designated as HYBRID work. Working 3 days in the office, Tues, Weds and Thurs (2 days working remote) Hours: 8 am - 5 pm Travel: 5%. Would consistent of an occasional day trip to a job site with a PM as needed. Job Description: This Cost Analyst will support the EPC Team. Only candidates local to New Albany, OH and surrounding areas will be considered.Interviews will be in person. Qualified experience includes:

• Utility specific operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures.
• Experience should be in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, and project budgets, or working with accounting principles.
• Coordinates project cost analysis and controls for team activities supporting the Project Managers (PMs), or other staff, including overseeing the cost reporting for multiple projects and monitoring project budgets to assure accurate depiction of project cost on intermediate projects under some supervision.
• Input of budgets within the AEP corporate systems, providing ongoing forecast updates and variance analysis at the program and project levels, input and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), and working collaboratively with project teams to implement project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide communication and develop partnerships with internal and/or external customers.
• Conduct training, support continuous process improvement efforts and develop tools and processes utilized within the work group.
• Responsible for the creation of work orders and having direct interface in coordinating with external contractors and vendors to integrate these parties into the overall project budget and schedule.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree with 1+ year of qualified experience; OR a qualified Associates degree with 3+ years qualified experience.
• Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include: Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
• Qualified experience includes utility specific operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures.
