Qualus Project Controls Specialist in Nevada
Position Overview
Power Your Future with Qualus in our Program Management department as a Project Controls Specialist.
The Project Controls Specialist will build and maintain construction schedules, conduct cost analysis, and provide various reports for operations, maintenance, and capital budgets for large utility construction projects.
Responsibilities
Establishes and develops construction project schedules and prepares and maintains project reports which may include schedule summaries and performance measurement.
Ensures accurate forecasting and reporting of operations and maintenance and capital budgets.
Conducts analysis and provides insight on potential risks and opportunities.
Performs variance reporting.
Participates in month end close processes and accruals.
Assists in development of short term and long-term business plans.
Will be responsible for ad-hoc analysis and reporting and process improvements.
Qualifications
Degree in Project Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Must have 5+ years of experience with scheduling and work planning.
Specific software experience using MS Project or P6 Primavera for scheduling and resource management and proficient in Excel.
This position requires strong scheduling integration abilities of project team members and other departments.
Electrical utility and substation project experience is preferred.
Competencies required involve strong communication skills, ability to influence (without authority), and relationship/team building.
